All truth lays hidden in your mind
Be it bad or be it good – it is there
Conceiving itself as a seedling, forming
Until birth into the very existence of your life
And you perceiving it – judge it –
The very thing that you made
Without realizing that it was you
Who formed and created it
And I have noticed that most
Take credit for all they deem as good
But instead place blame for all they deem as bad
And in doing so – give all their power away
“There are two mirrors in which you may observe yourself. One is of this world, created by mans voracious appetite for gain. It leads to a false image of safety and security, and is easily shattered time and time again.
But the Other Mirror –
The Other is the image of Truth, revealing always the essence of who you are. It stretches back through time and makes known to you your Source and your oneness with the Creator. It is only in this reflection of yourself that you will ever find the way to your true purpose and happiness. You, Childe, waver between the two mirrors, and once you stop wavering, all illusions will fall away and you will see yourself as you truly are.”
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:12
I allowed myself to be changed by other people’s ideas of appropriateness, and I burned beneath their heavy opinions.
They did not glow brighter for my complicity.
Dying embers do nothing to fan the flames of greatness within anyone.
I watched that last leaf as it took its final spin
She danced to the very end, that one
And I marveled at her glory, her now golden brilliance
She spent her youth in summer, dazzling in the sun
Playing with others who had joined her there in that tree
And when the wind beat upon them all
There was no sorrow found in the tumult
Instead they used what was sent, joining together
Creating a music of their own
And me, in the hammock listening to the Divine
It was the harmony of heaven sent down
It was for me that she danced on that limb
Being as grateful as I was, I couldn’t help but tear
Each season brings new joy, ushered in by a departure
Reaching, always reaching forward as it comes
The world is always making room for more
There is never a taking away, only an expansion – a growing
I can feel it – the world Loving me
As she takes away, she also gives
I ponder this as I watch my summer friend take her leave
It is a slow and dazzling descent –
Graceful, full of beauty – without remorse for the end
There is only a pure thankfulness emanating in this moment
And the earth feels it, and responds
The fierceness of the wind startles me, like a funnel of fury
She grabs hold and lifts, lifts, lifts!
And that final dance finds no end
As that fiery brilliance flies home to heaven.
There is a mastery that heaven downed
Layered beneath these dusty sheathes of skin
And only in the mind can it be found!
Unrighteousness as if it did abound
As though the veil torn yet still be thin
That is a mastery that heaven downed!
Yet some say lost is lost until it’s found
I say there can be no such thing as sin
For only in the mind can it be found!
Our judgments spurn us as they flip around
Each razors back and cuts deep with its spin
Yet we can master this that heaven downed!
You are your Thoughts so use them to astound
Then watch as Love makes better ways for men
But first it’s in the mind THIS MUST BE FOUND!
Or watch us die by every thorn we’ve crowned
‘Cause what is out first starts with what’s within
And this the mastery that heaven downed
Will be our fate if in our minds not found!
